Our Sports therapists understand how your body moves, how you generate power and force, and how your body fails and hurts if you do not do this effectively. Specialties include throwing Injuries: Shoulder and Elbow injuries, Running Injuries: Feet, Knees, Hips, and Spine, Injury or pain to feet, ankle, knee, hip, spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, Any pain generated by movement is worth a look and has the ability to improve. We also utilize throwing and running video analysis.
DPT, MSPT, CSCS, XPSTony is a physical therapist and strength coach. He has specialized in training and rehabilitating athletes for the past 20 years. Tony has just returned from Phoenix, AZ where he spent the last few years training Professional, Collegiate, and top D1 prospects. His expertise lies in throwing athletes and sport specific movement assessment. In his career he has trained and rehabilitated Olympic Gold Medalists, NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL, and MLS/EPL athletes, and has been responsible for the health of many players that serve as the “face of the franchise” professional sports. Over the past 5 years he has published multiple research articles and baseball players and improving throwing velocity.
MSPT, SFGRussell Dunning is a sports physical therapist and strength coach. He comes from a Martial Art and Strength Athlete background. After his academic years, which includes a Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Physical Therapy, he pursued becoming a StrongFirst Kettlebell Instructor to compliment his Sport Medicine Physical Therapy focus. As an academic, he is published and active in research; as a PT, he is deeply involved in his patient’s successes. As a coach, he leads groups of both young athletes and professional athletes in classes to better their total body performance, strength, and conditioning.
DPT, CSCSEvan Hauger is a Doctor of physical therapy and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Growing up, Evan was a multi-sport athlete, and went on to play baseball at Shasta College. Evan also has experience coaching youth baseball players. Through multiple personal injuries related to his athletic career, Evan realized that he has a passion for improving the way people move and enhancing their performance in sport and life. Evan previously did a three month internship in Boston, MA to learn from some of the top minds in performance physical therapy and baseball performance training. He also completed the Selective Functional Movement Assessment level 1 certification course to improve how he evaluates his client’s movement.
